Part-Time Dietary Cook / Dietary Aide

Vivo Healthcare West Orange – Ocoee, Florida

Vivo Healthcare West Orange is seeking a dependable and compassionate Part-Time Dietary Cook / Dietary Aide to join our Nutrition Services team. This role is essential in providing safe, nutritious, and appealing meals that support the health and dignity of our residents.

The Dietary Cook / Aide assists with food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and overall kitchen operations in accordance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and food safety standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring residents receive meals that meet their nutritional needs and personal preferences.

• Prepare and portion meals according to standardized recipes and therapeutic diet requirements

• Assist with tray line setup, meal service, and clean-up

• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, and storage (FIFO)

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, work areas, and dining spaces

• Follow infection control, safety, and temperature monitoring guidelines

• Support resident satisfaction by being responsive and respectful during meal service

• Work collaboratively with dietary leadership and nursing staff

• Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or long-term care preferred (not required)

• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices

• Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and dietary guidelines

• Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting

• Must be able to pass background screening and health requirements per facility policy

• Part-time hours

Employment Requirements:
Employment with VIVO Healthcare of West Orange is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Caregiver Background Screening Clearinghouse ( in accordance with Florida law and Skilled Nursing Facility regulatory requirements.
