About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: - Experience in inpatient rehab - Travel experience accepted - Comfortable with floating within the facility Description: Inpatient rehabilitation nurses provide care to patients recovering from serious injuries or illnesses. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitation nursing. The facility will not accept background hits or licensure action. Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred. Certifications in Basic Life Support are mandatory. Nurses will be responsible for managing various patient conditions and treatments, including stroke rehabilitation and spinal cord injuries. The patient ratio is expected to be 6-7. Candidates will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. The nursing role involves administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing patient education. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is necessary. The facility provides care for adults and geriatric patients. Candidates must be willing to float to different units as needed. Compliance with infection prevention protocols is expected. Additional unit responsibilities include pain management and wound care. Applicants must be prepared for a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
