Sage Advisory Services Ltd. in Austin is hiring an experienced Controller to work directly with the CFO. This position suits a proactive accountant who values collaboration and wants to contribute to a growing company. As Controller, you’ll oversee core accounting operations, support leadership with accurate financial reporting, and help ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. This is a key role with visibility across the firm and opportunities to contribute to process improvement and long term growth. Job Duties and Responsibilities Manage client billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close and reconciliations Prepare internal financial statements and management reports Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Coordinate financial information for regulatory and tax filings Oversee payroll, compensation records, and employee benefit programs Support vendor billing and contract administration Identify accounting or operational issues and recommend solutions Help develop and improve accounting policies and procedures Job Requirements and Qualifications 3+ yrs of experience as a Controller or a similar accounting leadership role 5–10+ years of combined accounting and finance experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting; advanced degree preferred CPA preferred but not required Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset High level of ownership, accuracy, and attention to detail Why Join Us Play a vital role at a leading investment firm Work closely with executive leadership Competitive compensation and benefits Collaborative, professional, and growth oriented environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Sage Advisory
