Senior Specialist, Planner-Buyer Responsible for material planning and ordering for the Devens Manufacturing facilities, coordinating material release requirements to support production and technical transfers, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure availability of parts and materials. Key Responsibilities Analyze material inventory and maintain adequate safety stocks and inventory projections for Devens Manufacturing Facilities. Provide input into weekly material priorities with site representatives from Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Technical Operations and Warehouse. Create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in SAP, place orders with suppliers and expedite deliveries as needed. Review, prioritize, and schedule the delivery of raw materials and consumables to meet target dates and prevent stock shortages. Collaborate with partner departments to ensure material availability aligns with the manufacturing schedule. Assess material risk and work with site and network cross‑functional teams to propose mitigations. Escalate risks to management and key stakeholders with proposed mitigation strategies as required. Support plant quality systems (change controls, deviations, assessments, and CAPA) for material‑related issues when needed. Participate in projects (e.g., tech transfers, SAP improvements) and lead continuous improvement activities to positively impact key performance metrics. Assist in developing forecasts and review with procurement to share with vendors. Qualifications & Experience B.S. in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a science‑related discipline. 3‑5 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing role within a complex manufacturing environment (production control/process orders or equivalent). Experience and knowledge in biologics manufacturing preferred. Experience in new product introduction strongly preferred. Excellent knowledge of SAP strongly preferred. Customer service mentality and strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities against ambitious timelines. Compensation Overview Devens, MA – US: $83,070 – $100,662 per year. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility.
