Cashier/Stocker PositionThe cashier/stocker will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the store remains well stocked and organized. The cashier/stocker will handle cash register operations, assist customers with purchases, verify IDs for alcohol sales, and help maintain a clean and welcoming shopping environment.Reports to: Store ManagerJob Description:Following Company's Customer Relations Philosophy. Paying whole attention to the customer's needs first and secondary tasks can wait.Understand and comply with management's directions and guidelines within guidelines of company's policy and procedures.Apprise store management of all sales, cash and/or operational discrepancies.Prepare shift-change report at completion of shift and minimize cashier's errors.Accurately post all markups, markdowns, store use of merchandise, voids, and bad merchandise write offs.Advice management of any situations or policy violations has an adverse effect on the store's operating performance, including maintenance problems.Keep coolers, merchandise shelves fully stocked and always fronted.Able to lift 20-50lbs at any given time.Stand for an 8-hour shiftProperly clean and maintain equipment, floors, and restrooms. Make sure the register area is clean, free of any personal belongings, displays are unblocked, operable and pointed at the customer.Adhere to all cities, county, state, and federal regulations.Use up-selling techniques and properly up selling products that complement customer purchases.Understand that customers are the reason we are in business and treat them with excellent services and pleasant greetings and smiles before and after the transaction checkouts.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED21 years of age or older to be cashier18 years of age or older to be stockerBe able to obtain a TAM and Health CardBe able to obtain a Non-Gaming Card in some locationsPass Drug Screen and Background CheckDisclaimer: This job posting is intended to describe the general nature of this position.
