Payroll Specialist Klamath Falls, OR Temporary Position | Full-Time | $25.47/hour Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join our client’s team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with confidential information, and understands payroll reporting and compliance. What You’ll Do Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for state and federal agencies. Reconcile payroll deductions, benefits, vendor invoices, and payroll liability accounts. Complete required payroll tax and regulatory reporting, including quarterly and annual reports. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and make corrections as needed. Process third-party payroll payments and related documentation. Assist with PERS reporting. Support Payroll Clerk I duties when needed. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and agreements. Respond to payroll-related questions and requests for information. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Previous payroll experience with a strong understanding of payroll processes and reporting. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with confidential information professionally. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with payroll, accounting, HR, or financial software. An Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of related experience and/or training may be considered in place of a degree. Current Oregon driver's license. Computer Skills Experience with spreadsheets, word processing, accounting or financial software, HR systems, and payroll systems is preferred. Experience with Springbrook Payroll is a plus. Schedule & Requirements Full-time, Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts; exact schedule determined by management Must be dependable and consistently punctual Successful candidate must pass a criminal background check Drug screening may be required #J-18808-Ljbffr
