Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Gynecological care License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: CPR/BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Ability to float to Neonatal nursery and NICU Description: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Gynecological care. Experience with STABLE is preferred but not required. Candidates must be willing to float to the Neonatal nursery and NICU as needed. Candidates must be willing to work nights and some day shifts. Candidates should indicate if they require time off during the assignment. The role involves caring for Labor and Delivery patients and providing nursing care during delivery, including for high-risk patients. Postpartum care for both mother and baby, as well as gynecological surgical postoperative care, is also required. Equipment utilized includes fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital signs monitors, OBIX documentation, centralized monitoring for Labor and Delivery, and EPIC for gynecological care. Required skills include experience in Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby care, gynecological care, and fetal monitoring. The nurse-to-patient ratio for Labor and Delivery is 1:1 or 1:2, and for postpartum couplets, it is 1:3. The combination of mother/baby and gynecological patients results in a ratio of 1:5-6. All candidates must wear navy blue scrubs for the position.
