Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room – Full Time Day Location: Jersey City Medical Center, 355 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 Department: Operating Room Status: Full-Time Shift: Day (7:00 AM-3:00 PM) Pay Range: $47.85 – $67.04 per hour Job Overview Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC) is a 352-bed, not-for-profit acute care facility and Magnet hospital located in the vibrant Jersey City waterfront community. JCMC is the largest healthcare service provider in Hudson County, with a newly expanded emergency department and OR suites. We are seeking a dedicated RN to join our Operating Room team. Qualifications – Required BSN required or actively enrolled in a BSN program with expected completion date. IV certified from an approved facility, or completed IV certification during orientation. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. Flexibility and adaptability to meet system staffing needs. Qualifications – Preferred 2–3 years of nursing experience; OR experience preferred. New graduates accepted with successful completion of a periop 101 course. Certifications and Licenses Required CNOR certification preferred. Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement. BLS from the American Heart Association. Scheduling Requirements Day Shift: 35.3 hours per week (7:00 AM-3:00 PM). Monday–Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation. Full-Time. On-Call required. Essential Functions As an OR Nurse, you will participate in complex surgeries using state-of-the-art technology in our surgical suites. You will advocate for patients undergoing anesthesia or sedation, work cooperatively with the multidisciplinary care team, and maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the perioperative setting. Other Duties Must be able to scrub and circulate in the following services: vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, neuro/spine, robotics, thoracic, trauma, and general.
