Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented, career-minded Staff Accountant to join our tight-knit accounting team. Working directly under the Controller, you will gain hands-on mentorship in property accounting, financial reporting, and operating business strategy. This is a high-visibility role with significant upward mobility. You will manage full-cycle accounting for our primary industrial assets, and supervise vendor processes Key Responsibilities Full-Cycle Property Accounting: Manage end-to-end accounting processes for nationwide industrial acquisitions. AR/AP Supervision: Oversee outsourced accounts payable work, conduct daily accuracy checks, manage accounts receivable, and address operational questions or escalations with leadership. General Ledger & System Management: Maintain clean general ledger books across multiple entities in Yardi and QuickBooks; assist with the active system migration to Yardi 8. Financial Reporting & Close: Support the Controller with month-end close, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation for real estate holdings. Data & Operational Analysis: Utilize Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data exports, spreadsheet management) to support day-to-day investment operations. What We Are Looking For Core Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (CPA not required). Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Yardi (Yardi 8 preferred) and QuickBooks. Advanced comfort with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (exports, basic formulas). Supervisory & Communication Ability: Ability to review outsourced AP deliverables daily, resolve disconnects, and communicate clearly with firm leadership. Accounting Foundation: Strong academic or practical exposure to general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and AR/AP cycles.
