About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 9.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required, preference for 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST required Must-Have: - Previous experience in sterile processing - Ability to clean equipment and perform high-level disinfection - Knowledge of sterilization wrapping procedures - Experience with case cart assembly and equipment documentation Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for processing and sterilizing surgical instruments. They will ensure that all equipment is cleaned and prepared for surgical procedures. Candidates must have experience in the use of sterilizers and washers. Familiarity with the proper selection of wrapping materials is essential. The role requires assembly of sets and trays according to established protocols. Knowledge of biological and chemical indicators is important for monitoring sterilization processes. The tech will be expected to follow strict guidelines to maintain sterility and safety standards. Interactions with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care are a key part of the role. This position may require flexibility in scheduling and duties as needed. Candidates should be prepared to commit to working during designated holidays.
