Capital, based in Miami, FL.Job Summary:Working as a Laundry Chief Engineer, you are responsible for organizing and directing programs to maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment through appropriate utilization of resources and delegation of responsibility. You will oversee and coordinate these activities along with engineering, transportation and security to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient operation. You will plan the course of these activities to meet financial/budgetary and regulatory requirements. You will maintain active and satisfactory working relationships with the rest of the management team, committees, and staff. You will provide leadership and guidance in the overall operation of the plant.Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facilityDevelops and trains all staff in plant and emergency proceduresHandles the procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative and emergency repairsDevelop and maintain relationships with vendorsDevelops a plant wide Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all building, process equipment, and plant utilitiesMaintains the departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies and labor managementAssures compliance with all wastewater and emissions standardsOversees outside contractors in the repairs and upkeep of plant equipmentAvailable for off-site, plants startups and special projectsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or military experience is preferredAbility to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentationsAbility to multi-task and establish prioritiesExhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadershipMust be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blueprintsProficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookGood working knowledge all aspects of plant maintenance to include but not limited to; Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Compressed Air, Mechanical EquipmentMilitary Transferrable Skills:Navy Rank E-5 + with experience as ET- Electronics Technician, IC – Interior Communications, MM – Machinist Mate, EM- Electricians Mate is highly sought afterUnited States Coast Guard Rank E-5 plus with experience as EK - Machinery Technician and EM – Electricians Mate, and DC-Damage Control ManMilitary positions understanding the electrical schematics of heavy-duty machinery as well as boilers, chillers, hydraulics, & pneumatic pumpsCore Linen Services is an equal opportunity employer.
