Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves: to create the worlds most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity.The Role: Senior Data Center Construction ManagerAs a Senior Data Center Construction Manager, you are accountable for delivering large-scale, mission-critical construction projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role exists to ensure Switch data center facilities are built to the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational readiness.You will lead the full construction lifecycle from pre-construction through turnover. You will serve as the primary on-site leader for general contractors and cross-functional teams. This role operates with significant autonomy and reports to the Director of Construction.What Youll DoLead construction execution for large-scale data center projects from pre-construction through completion and turnover.Establish and enforce a strong safety culture across active job sites.Conduct regular safety walks and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Serve as the primary on-site leader for contractors and trade partners.Coordinate with Design Engineering, Networking, Controls, Security, Supply Chain, Commissioning, and Operations teams.Review construction documents for constructability and provide field-driven feedback.Develop and manage detailed project schedules, milestones, and recovery plans.Own project budget performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, and change management.Partner with cost controls to monitor financial performance and identify cost savings opportunities.Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies.Resolve field issues to protect schedule, cost, and quality outcomes.Oversee permitting and regulatory compliance requirements.Plan site logistics, equipment delivery, and coordination with general contractors and building teams.Prepare and deliver executive updates covering safety, schedule, cost, and risk exposure.What Were Looking ForYou lead from the front on safety and hold teams accountable to clear standards.You operate with urgency and discipline in mission-critical environments.You communicate clearly and directly with contractors, peers, and leadership.You make sound decisions under pressure using data and field judgment.You anticipate risks and implement solutions before issues escalate.You follow through on commitments and drive work to completion.You collaborate across teams while maintaining ownership of outcomes.You handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.What Youll BringRequired:10+ years of construction management experience.Experience delivering large-scale data center or other critical infrastructure projects.Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and IT systems within mission-critical facilities.Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contractor performance.Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore.Preferred:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.Experience reviewing CAD drawings and technical documentation.Experience managing multiple concurrent complex projects.This role requires regular on-site presence and may require extended hours, nights, or weekends based on project needs.We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every preferred qualification.Why Switch?A Culture of Karma We are self-motivated by karma, ensuring our actions contribute to a positive, supportive and forward-thinking environment.Industry Leading Designs Work with the most advanced data center technology on the planet and be a part of emerging technology development.Flexibility & Remote Opportunities Whether in-office, hybrid, or fully remote, we offer the technology and support to keep teams connected and productive.Career Stability & Growth In this expanding industry, we invest in our people, providing opportunities & advancement in a stable, growing company.Generous Benefits Package - Switch provides comprehensive coverage for you and your family that can be tailored to fit your personal needs, and more!Join Us & Make a DifferenceThis is more than a jobits a mission.
