Specialty Pharmacy is a unique setting - not quite hospital, not quite retail. Our team includes Pharmacy Technicians from a wide range of backgrounds, all bringing valuable experience to a growing and dynamic field. As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you'll be part of an exciting new frontier in pharmacy.

Our current shifts are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will provide exceptional care to patients who rely on high-touch medications. In this role, you'll be responsible for filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and working with insurance companies to ensure patients have timely access to their medications - all while making a direct and meaningful impact on their lives.

Position Summary:


As a certified pharmacy technician, prepares, compounds, and dispenses medical orders/prescriptions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities:

• May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department
• Receives and stores incoming supplies
• Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Communicates effectively with customers
• Performs a variety of tasks
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Typically reports to supervisor or manager
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience preferred
• Pharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy required. CPhT required.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
• Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into data-based software programs
• BLS required

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
