Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Overview

• Training will be conducted at Burlington’s main site before assignment to a nearby offsite warehouse
• Role involves picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment
• Work includes operating forklifts and updating inventory systems

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and pack products from warehouse inventory
• Load products into trailers for delivery
• Update bin movements using computer systems (SAP/RF scanners)
• Operate equipment such as:
  • Reach trucks
  • Electric pallet jacks
  • Clamp trucks
• Maintain accuracy in inventory and order fulfillment
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures

Required Skills

• Experience in picking and packing operations
• Strong forklift operation experience
• Knowledge of pallet jacks and warehouse equipment
• Experience in warehouse distribution environments
• Familiarity with reach trucks and clamp trucks
• Basic knowledge of SAP systems and RF scanners
• Inventory management experience

Additional Qualifications

• Experience operating stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, and electric pallet jacks
• Ability to start work immediately and handle material movement efficiently
• Computer skills to update inventory systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

Work Environment

• Large distribution center (500,000 sq. ft.) with ~250 associates
• Handles appliances for commercial and direct orders
• Exposure to:
  • Temperature variations
  • Moving equipment
  • Noise and warehouse conditions
• Overtime available with supervisor approval

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
