Job Overview
Riverside Medical Group (RMG), in collaboration with Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC), is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a well‑established and expanding surgical program in Newport News, Virginia. This role focuses primarily on adult cardiac surgery, with thoracic coverage responsibilities while on call at RRMC, a modern 450‑bed, Level II Trauma Center serving the greater Hampton Roads region.
Highlights of the practice
- Established, high‑functioning team including CT Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Structural Interventional Cardiology, 12 cardiologists (interventional and non‑invasive), 4 vascular surgeons, and a robust inpatient/outpatient APP support team
- Strong culture of collaboration with active physician input in program development and system growth
- Dedicated and experienced hospitalist service and comprehensive specialty support at RRMC
- Fully integrated Epic electronic medical record across inpatient and outpatient settings
