Quality Inspector III

Quality Inspector IIICadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector III to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.Key ResponsibilitiesUse measuring devices such as Coordinate Measuring Machines, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and hardness testers.Read and interpret blueprints and solid modelsVisual inspection of product according to customer requirementsPerform first piece, in-process and final inspectionDocument inspection results by completing required reports/logsIdentify and quarantine all non-conforming productGenerate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant productsKeep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and identify and address issues with equipment that may need repairInspect and approve incoming materials where and when needed by confirming they meet specificationsAttend department meetings as requiredInspect and release products for shipping by ensuring proper documentation or certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements.Assist with calibration of measuring equipment.Collaborate with the team for corrective action in reaction to customer complaints, vendor issues, and internal process failuresParticipate in internal process audits including dimensional workmanship and documentation verificationComplete PPAP and 1st article documentation development and processingLead and train Level I and II inspectors as needed to increase performancePreferred Qualifications5 or more years of hands-on inspection experience in an AS9100, CNC machining environment.Thorough understanding of GD&T.Experience with PC-DMIS and Solidworks a plusStrong skills in the Microsoft Suite.EducationHigh school diplomaAssociate degree in related field preferredLocationOnsiteScheduleM-FWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
