Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | Flexible Hours + Call Requirement
Employment Type: Full-Time | 36 Hours per Week
Pay Range: $27.26–$38.48 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join a General Surgery team in Illinois. The Surgical Technologist supports surgeons and the perioperative team in providing safe and effective surgical care.
This role is responsible for maintaining a safe operating room environment, preparing surgical equipment and instruments, and supporting invasive and non-invasive procedures while prioritizing patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team throughout operative procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards
- Verify that surgical equipment and instruments are functioning properly
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures
- Identify significant patient conditions or reactions and communicate concerns to the appropriate care team
- Follow department policies, safety standards, and established surgical procedures
- Support efficient operating room workflow and turnover
Qualifications
Surgical Technologist I
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Surgical Technology program with eligibility to sit for certification OR
- Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist/Technician experience if a Surgical Technology program has not been completed
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
Surgical Technologist II
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Surgical Technology program and Surgical Technologist certification with at least 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience OR
- Minimum of 5 years of Surgical Technologist experience without certification
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Surgical Technology certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable learning and utilizing surgical equipment and instrumentation
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative operating room environment
Compensation
Surgical Technologist I: $27.26–$38.48 per hour
Surgical Technologist II: $27.26–$38.48 per hour, with an additional 3% range adjustment
Actual compensation is based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
