Compensation Starting Salary $27.11 to $32.53 hourly, dependent on education and experience. Driver professionals who have 30 driving days for Lake Tahoe Community College District will receive a 10% increase in their hourly rate. Responsibilities Operate a multi‑passenger van, bus, or its equivalent on prescribed routes to transport persons to and from specific destinations. Plan necessary routes and stops, adhering as closely as possible to arrival and departure times. Operate all equipment in a legal, safe manner, free of impairment due to drug or alcohol use. Arrive at destinations on schedule. Fulfill administrative needs such as office pickups. Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays. Use navigation applications to determine the best route. Interact with clients professionally at all times. Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use. Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed. Keep mileage records and repair records up to date. Qualifications Education and experience: any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and experience driving students, staff, faculty, or the public. Minimum references required: 3.
