In this role, you will independently transport non‑hazardous materials to customer locations, provide high‑quality customer service, and ensure full compliance with DOT, company, and regulatory requirements. You will exercise sound judgment in route execution and safety decisions and serve as a reliable operational resource within the transportation team. \n \n This is a Monday-Friday, daytime role, and drivers are home each night for supper. There will be ample overtime opportunities during our busy seasons in the spring and fall. \n A valid Class A license is required for the position. Our vehicles are all manaul transmission. \n Join our amazing team today! \n \n \n \n \n Responsibilities\n \n \n \n Operate a semi‑tractor and trailer (or straight truck) to deliver non‑hazardous materials to customer sites across complex or variable routes, ensuring safe and efficient execution \n Drive in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies, using sound judgment regarding route safety, road conditions, and compliance requirements \n Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries; communicate clearly, resolve routine issues, and escalate non‑routine concerns as appropriate \n Connect and disconnect trailers, and perform product transfer loading and unloading activities in accordance with safety protocols \n Complete required delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports, and maintain accurate electronic logs and onboard computer entries \n Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly \n Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and equipment issues; follow required procedures; and model strong safety and compliance behaviors \n Provide informal guidance and support to Associate Drivers as needed regarding routes, equipment operation, and safety practices \n Share operational knowledge and best practices to support team efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction \n \n \n \n \n \n Minimum Qualifications (required)\n \n \n \n Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)\n Have a minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience \n Must meet age requirement \n Ability to read, write, and communicate in English \n Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately. \n \n \n \n \n \n Additional Qualifications\n \n \n \n Demonstrate the ability to operate independently in a high‑skill driving role, including managing complex routes or delivery requirements \n Demonstrated safe-driving performance and ability to make sound safety decisions in changing weather and road conditions \n Strong customer service skills and a history of positive customer feedback \n Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. \n Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.
