Kitchen Worker I

Job Title
Performs a variety of functions necessary for meal service. Maintains a clean and orderly environment, and washes equipment and utensils according to standard practices and procedures. Assists with assembling patient trays, special events, and cafeteria meal services. Complies with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Readies food items for meal service needs.
- Provides meal service in the cafeteria, assuring continuous service.
- Assists in the assembly of patient trays.
- Performs cleaning and sanitation services in the department according to schedule.
- Participates in providing meal service to special functions.
- Participates in Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities in the department.
- Participates in in-service and continuing education programs sponsored by the department or Medical Center.
Non-Essential Functions
Performs related and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
