RN - PCU

Patient Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that provides support throughout two campuses, focusing on Adult Health units, including Observation, Medical Surgical, and Progressive Care Units. This role may include floating to various units as needed and providing care to Adult Health patients. Candidates must be prepared to work in a dynamic and flexible environment, adapting to varying patient needs across the facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU and other Adult Health units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Assist in the management of patients transitioning from emergency and surgical services.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in health status.
• Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 24 months of PCU experience, with recent experience in the last 12 months.
• Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• No hits on state license to practice.
• Driver's license to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
