About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Float across units to meet staffing needs, caring for a diverse patient population including ER-boarded patients, telemetry, and med/surg patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–6 depending on unit acuity
• Perform charge nurse duties as needed on select smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination
• Document and chart accurately using EPIC
• Collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license ; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Charge nurse experience required
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals may be considered at an adjusted rate)
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care settings
• Experience floating across multiple unit types within an acute care environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ER-boarded patient management
