Pay: $80-$90 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students across grades K-12 within a school-based setting. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), developing comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and implementing evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and increase functional skills. The BCBA plays a pivotal role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that students with behavioral and emotional challenges can access their education and achieve their unique potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs): Design, coordinate, and execute comprehensive FBAs and functional analyses to identify the underlying environmental variables and functions of challenging behaviors.
• Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Create individualized, evidence-based BIPs that emphasize positive behavior supports, antecedent strategies, and skill-acquisition programs tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
• IEP Goal Formulation and Progress Tracking: Collaborate with the multidisciplinary educational team to draft measurable behavioral, social, and emotional goals for student IEPs, and implement rigorous data collection systems to monitor ongoing progress.
• Provide Direct and Indirect Behavioral Intervention: Deliver direct behavioral therapy, crisis stabilization, and functional communication training to students, as well as indirect consultation to teaching teams.
• Staff Training and Professional Development: Design and conduct training sessions for teachers, special education staff, and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or paraeducators on the proper implementation of BIPs, data tracking protocols, and de-escalation techniques.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect, graph, and analyze behavioral data to evaluate the efficacy of interventions, making timely, data-informed adjustments to BIPs and support strategies as necessary.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participate actively in IEP meetings, student support team (SST) discussions, and manifestation determination reviews, communicating complex behavioral concepts clearly to families and non-behavioral professionals.
• Regulatory and Compliance Standards: Ensure all assessments, plans, and interventions comply with state and federal special education regulations (e.g., IDEA), district policies, and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Ethics Code.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certification: Current and active certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) (required).
• Licensure: Current state licensure or credentialing as required by the state of practice to practice as a behavior analyst in a school setting (required).
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience practicing as a BCBA, with a strong preference for prior experience in a public, private, or charter school setting (preferred).
• Knowledge Base: Deep understanding of school-based behavioral frameworks, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), and IEP procedural processes.
• Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment, showcasing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Employment Prerequisites: Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements, including background clearances, fingerprinting, and verification of eligibility to work.
• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Additional Requirements (if applicable)

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Crisis prevention and intervention training certification (e.g., CPI, Safety-Care, or QBS).
• TB screening clearance (questionnaire, PPD skin test, or chest x-ray).
• Current health certificate or immunization records as mandated by state or contract requirements.
