About the Position This position is located in Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Serves as a Lead Medical Support Assistant responsible for the performance of a variety of substantive duties in support of the Centralized Call Center. Basic Requirement for Medical Support Assistant (Scheduler/Office Automation) Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying clinic procedures for working the front desk, scheduling patient appointments, maintaining patient medical records; referring patients to other clinics, and providing information to patients and staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist.
