PhysicianProviders diagnose patient conditions using examinations and tests. Based on their findings, they prescribe treatment and medications to attempt to heal any illnesses or injuries.Respond to patients' medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling and referral, where necessary.Order lab tests and interpret the test results.Always maintain confidentiality and impartiality.Collect, record and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history and reports.Explain procedures or prescribed treatments to patients.Liaise with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.Promote health education in conjunction with other health professionals.Discuss and evaluate new pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical representatives.Keep up to date with medical developments, treatment and medication.While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust to focus. Frequent travel is required, often up to several hours of driving per day. Ability to travel to, attend, and conduct sales presentations. Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals. Exposure to variable weather conditions is likely.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.Minimal HazardsQualificationsDegree in Medicine (required).5 years of residency training (required).Current state medical license and Federal DEA license (required).Completed U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (required).3-5 years of experience practicing as a primary care doctor.Fantastic counseling and listening skills.Superb organizational and time management skills.Excellent decision-making skills and communication.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Compassionate nature with the ability to make patients feel at ease.Great management and leadership skills.
