What You'll Do

As a Math Instructor, you'll work with students in a small-group learning environment, providing individualized instruction using the Mathnasium Method.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Teach math concepts in a clear, engaging, and encouraging manner.
• Help students develop problem-solving skills and mathematical understanding.
• Adapt your teaching approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Use questions and instructional tools to guide students toward understanding rather than simply providing answers.
• Recognize when students need additional support and provide appropriate guidance.
• Monitor student progress and celebrate achievements.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and center leadership to create a productive learning environment.
• Help students develop confidence and a positive attitude toward math.

What We're Looking For

You don't need previous tutoring experience to be successful at Mathnasium. We provide training and ongoing support!

We're looking for individuals who have:

• A solid understanding of math through Algebra I or higher.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain concepts in different ways.
• Patience and an encouraging approach when working with students.
• A friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
• Dependability and a commitment to their scheduled shifts.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A willingness to learn new teaching techniques and instructional strategies.
• Comfort using computers and digital learning tools.

Experience working with children, tutoring, or teaching is a plus, but not required.

Schedule & Availability

This is a part-time, in-person position at our Happy Valley learning center.

Our center operates:

• Monday–Thursday: 2:30 PM–7:00 PM
• Sunday: 1:00 PM–5:30 PM
• Friday & Saturday: Closed

We offer consistent scheduling and ask team members to be available for a minimum of two shifts per week.
