Schedule Night shift, 12 hours, 3 days a week. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in a Medical Step Down Unit, managing a patient ratio of 1 to 4. The unit will care for patients experiencing conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, substance abuse issues, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to individuals with complex medical conditions. Monitor patient vital signs and update care plans as necessary. Administer medications and perform nursing interventions as per physician orders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or step-down unit. Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
