Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist (Remote, LMFT/LPCC/LCSW)

Position Overview

Tranquil Talk Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Mental Health Therapist specializing in child and adolescent care. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, leveraging telehealth platforms to engage with clients from the comfort of their homes. The therapist’s typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the flexibility to accommodate occasional evening shifts depending on patient needs. The remote setting promotes a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life, all while ensuring that therapists remain connected to their peers through regular team meetings and virtual supervision sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider the unique developmental stages and family dynamics of each patient.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention.
• Engage in family therapy sessions, empowering caregivers with strategies to create nurturing and supportive environments.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of each patient’s progress and treatment in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Offer education and resources to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and strategies that enhance team performance and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is to work with children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. The therapist will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship, ensuring that young clients feel safe and understood while navigating their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders and a solid understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate, child-centered approach to therapy.
• The ability to establish rapport and build trust with both young individuals and their families.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
• A collaborative mindset, fitting seamlessly into a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a child and adolescent therapy setting.
• Experience in telehealth service delivery, demonstrating the ability to maintain engagement and effectiveness in a virtual context.

Compensation and Benefits
