Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical

Scheduling Details

• Shift hours: 3x12s, nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Weekend Requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Accepting first-time travelers

Charting

EPIC experience required.

Call-Off Policy

The facility is allowed to call off one shift per 2 weeks.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Clinical Skills

• Charge experience
• Proficient in Medical/Surgical care
• Experience in using Rapid Response/Code teams
• Skilled in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions

Unit Details and Responsibilities

• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6
• Acute care unit for adult patients, including those with elective back surgeries, trauma, prostate cancer, gallbladders, and cellulitis
• May be required to float within skillset
• Responsible for charge duties and precepting new staff
