Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Nursing Unit Secretary you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the proficient direction of a Registered Nurse aligning with established policies and procedures to optimize your skills and contribute to our patient-centered mission.

• Monitors the electronic record for new providerentered orders and coordinates their completion with nursing staff and other departments as appropriate.
• Utilizes computer technology to access and exchange data such as lab results and interdepartmental communications.
• Accurately documents vital signs input/output nutritional intake personal hygiene weights and other patient care performed reporting findings promptly to the Registered Nurse and maintaining thorough and confidential patient charts and records.
• Performs clerical duties maintains department/unit logs and coordinates services as needed.
• Greets patients/visitors and directs or escorts them to the desired location.
• Provides quality patient care including comfort and hygiene measures preventative skin care safety measures transport and nutritional and elimination needs.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program
  
• State registered CNA license

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience
