We work across a wide product set — conventional, FHA/VA, jumbo, and non-QM/DSCR, in both retail and wholesale channels — and we're investing in modern tooling across the operation, from document intelligence to AI-assisted file review. THE ROLE A year from now, you'll own a full pipeline with turn times we brag about: files that arrive at underwriting complete, conditions cleared before they age, and borrowers who feel informed instead of chased. Just as important, you'll have left fingerprints on the operation itself — SOPs you wrote, automations you helped ship, and a few steps that no longer exist because you eliminated them. None of that will happen by assignment. This role rewards the person who sees what's broken, proposes the fix, and builds it without waiting to be asked. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own residential files from intake through clear-to-close: collect and review documentation, verify income, assets, employment, and credit, order title and appraisal, clear conditions, and coordinate closing Be the hub between borrowers, loan officers, underwriting, and title — keeping every party ahead of deadlines instead of chasing them Keep every file compliant and audit-ready: disclosure timelines, TRID/RESPA requirements, and clean AUS findings Put AI to work on every file — document indexing, income calculations, condition checks, drafted borrower updates — and verify the output like the professional of record, because you are Hunt bottlenecks and eliminate them — without being asked: spot the steps that waste time, propose the fix, then build the checklist, automation, or SOP that makes it permanent Help evaluate and roll out new tools, and pitch in across the back end as we grow — post-closing follow-ups, trailing docs, investor delivery, reporting WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Hands-on mortgage processing experience — you've worked real files and know what a complete one looks like. We'll train you on our products, systems, and the newest tools, but this isn't a first job in mortgage Fluent, daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) — you reach for them instinctively, write a solid prompt, and know when not to trust the output Serious initiative — you build systems nobody asked for. Somewhere in your past there's a tracker, checklist, automation, or SOP that exists because you got tired of the old way. Be ready to tell us about it A solid grasp of core loan documentation: income and asset docs, credit reports, and disclosures Familiarity with at least one loan origination system (Encompass, Calyx, Arive, LendingPad, or similar) Meticulous with details and deadlines, and a clear, calm communicator with borrowers under stress NICE TO HAVE 2+ years of processing experience, or exposure to multiple product types (FHA/VA, jumbo, non-QM/DSCR) or wholesale lender portals Experience with mortgage automation or document-intelligence platforms (Ocrolus, Blend, Candor, or similar) Experience writing SOPs or building light automations (spreadsheets, Zapier, workflow tools) WHY THIS ROLE Direct line to leadership, real budget and appetite for new tools, and the room to change how a lending operation runs — not someday, but this quarter. If you see a better way, you won't need three layers of approval to try it. Because we work across retail and wholesale with everything from FHA to DSCR, you'll compress years of learning into your first twelve months. As we grow, this seat is the natural launchpad into an operations leadership role. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $48,000–$56,000 base salary, plus a monthly production bonus — typically around $3,500 per month at full pipeline, with upside to roughly $5,250.
