This opportunity is your chance to work on multi-disciplined transportation projects that focus on highway, roadway, and interchange projects. In this role you will provide drainage design for roadway and highway projects throughout Virginia. Work at this level requires the ability to work in a team, collaborate, and keep pace with a fast-paced environment. Typical work assignments may include storm drainage analysis and design, cross drainage design, erosion and sediment control, temporary drainage, quantity and cost estimates, preparation of technical reports and memorandum, and preparation of construction plans, estimates, and specifications as required. When you join us, you’ll work in a team environment with other project engineers on the detailed drainage design of urban and rural transportation projects. You’ll conduct storm drainage analysis and design per the requirements of the project and various transportation public agencies such as VDOT.#LI-LM1236 Here's what you'll need • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering• Previous experience working on transportation and drainage design projects • Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate all drainage design phases of a project with other team disciplines• Previous experience utilizing Drainage and Hydraulic Modeling software• Previous experience creating technical documentation, reports, and/or memorandumIdeally, you’ll also have:• Master’s degree in civil engineering• Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) or able to obtain within 1 year• Previous experience with PS&E, schematic and alternative delivery (i.e. Design-Build and PPP) transportation projects is a plus• Experience in utilizing Bentley Geopak Drainage, StormCAD, CivilStorm, and other modeling software is a plus.Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
