MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI imaging exams on patients of all ages, ensuring patient safety and comfort while capturing high-quality diagnostic images. The role includes operating MRI equipment, preparing patients, administering intravenous contrast injections, and maintaining accurate documentation to support diagnostic and treatment processes. Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to perform imaging exams according to established protocols.
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the process and ensuring patient safety.
• Administer intravenous contrast agents as required, following safety guidelines and protocols.
• Ensure sufficient imaging data is obtained for accurate diagnosis and patient management.
• Document procedures, patient information, and consent forms accurately and timely.
• Adhere to all safety procedures related to MRI operations and patient care.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
• ARRT certification and NYSDOH license required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Certification to perform contract intravenous injections.
• Specialized training in MRI technology and cross-sectional anatomy.

• Experience in MRI imaging for diverse patient populations.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and protocols.
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must work holidays as needed.
• Compliance with all MRI safety and infection control procedures is mandatory.
• Housing accommodations are available for this position.

• Day shifts only: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Total of 30 hours per week.
