Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to work effectively in various settings, including group homes and private residences.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, medication reminders, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe movement within the home or community.
- Support clients with long-term care needs, including those requiring specialized attention.
Skills
- Experience in group home settings or social work is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, particularly in senior care environments.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
- Understanding of medication administration guidelines and long-term care principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
