Shift Details: Shift 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Shifts Per Week 3 Scheduled Hours 36 Job Order Details Start Date 07/13/2026 End Date 10/12/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Shift: 3x12 NIGHTS (1800-0630) Weekend REQ: minimum 3 weekends in 6 week period. shift time 6p-6:30a Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours Ratios: 1:5 Years of experience REQ: 1 yr First-timers accepted: Yes Certs REQ: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Please Note: Travelers cannot start without their PALS certificate. PALS is required for med surg RNs per Witham Health Services policy, as we admit pediatrics to this unit. Locals accepted: Yes, travelers are considered local if they live within 50 miles radius of the hospital. If they are local, they will have a $15 rate differential.

Unit Details Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Daily Census: 20 Number of Rooms: 26 Number of Beds: 26 Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses: Chest Pain r/o MI, afib, CHF, COPD, ESRD, UTI, pneumonia, sepsis, COVID, RSV, C-diff, GI bleed, cellulitis, pancreatitis, CVA/TIA, bowel obstruction, anemia (requiring transfusions), electrolyte imbalances, seizures, mental status changes, pediatrics (typically observation for O2 therapy or bili babies), Hip/knee/shoulder replacements, bowel resections with/without colostomy/ileostomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, thyroid resections, mastectomy, hysterectomy, wound debridement Special Procedures/Unit Details: This is a 78 beds facility and has limited resources. RNs are responsible for primary nursing and need to communicate with techs throughout the shift for help (techs float often). Vitals and phlebotomy are RNs responsibility. Charges have reduced assignments. Need to be comfortable with peds population. Acuity Level for Peds on MS: Low acuity, observation status. Most are post op tonsillectomy patients that come up from surgery mid-day and are discharged the following morning. We monitor for pain control and bleeding. During flu season we will see Flu/RSV kids who may need overnight observation and IV fluids or oxygen via nasal cannula. Special Requirements Ambulatory, MS experience preferred. Tele experience REQUIRED.
