Contract | Mid Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180–200 visits per day across a peds-to-geriatric patient population
• Perform independent lab draws and IV starts as part of standard nursing duties
• Manage and monitor patients including those on ventilators, holding in the ED until admission, in coordination with 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapy staff
• Work within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio alongside nurse aides, paramedics, and security/safety sitters
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech 6.15 EMR
• Complete unit-specific orientation within the first week of assignment as scheduled; orientation cannot roll over without prior leadership approval

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR (version 6.15 preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS or NIHSS, and CPI
• Must adhere to facility dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a trauma-receiving emergency department
• Familiarity with CVA center protocols and stroke care pathways
• Experience working in an ED with a dedicated behavioral health/psychiatric lockdown unit
