Respiratory Therapist RRT - Full Time - Nights (Hiring Immediately)

Hourly Pay Range: $33.16 - $51.40 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Sign on bonus: $25,000
• Position : Respiratory Therapist RRT - Nights
• Location : Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL
• Full Time | 36 hours/week
• Hours : Shifts will vary Monday - Friday from 7:00pm to 7:30am with every third weekend and rotating holidays, required.
• Required Travel: Plainfield Emergency Center coverage as needed.

What you will do:

• Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
• Provide patient and staff education

What you will need:

• Education : Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required.
• License/Certifications : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status, required.
• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required within 6 months of employment .
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required .
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 24 months of employment.
• Experience : Advanced knowledge of acid-base balance, blood gas analysis and interpretation, and cardiopulmonary physiology.
