Controls Manager – Industrial ManufacturingHiring a Controls Manager to lead the controls engineering team supporting custom equipment and packaged systems. This role will oversee controls design, programming, testing, commissioning, and department operations while driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Controls Engineering department including design, programming, testing, and startup supportOversee control panel development, PLC programming, and system integration for custom industrial equipmentSupport project execution by assigning resources, monitoring schedules, and ensuring projects stay on trackWork closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and leadership teams to support manufacturing operationsDrive continuous improvement, safety, quality, and process standardization initiativesProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for controls systems and field startupsManage department performance, employee development, and training initiativesEnsure compliance with electrical codes, industry standards, and company proceduresSupport estimating, applications, and customer technical requirements as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldExperience leading controls engineering teams in an industrial manufacturing environmentStrong PLC programming and controls troubleshooting experienceKnowledge of electrical wiring, control panels, automation systems, and UL standardsExperience with Allen Bradley, GE, IDEC, Johnson Controls, Carrier, or similar systems preferredStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and production schedulesExperience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives preferredMust be eligible to work in the United States without restriction and without the need for current or future sponsorship.
