Ranked 54th in the United States in attendance in 2024, Save Mart Center hosts a full schedule of concerts, comedy and family shows and more. The arena is also the home of Fresno State men’s basketball, women’s basketball and women’s volleyball.Located in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Fresno is the state’s fifth-largest city in a region with over one million residents and serves as the economic and cultural hub of the valley. Fresno offers a lower cost of living than many major California metropolitan areas while providing access to a diverse workforce, a growing business community, and year-round outdoor recreation. The city is also centrally located near renowned destinations including Yosemite National Park.**THE ROLE**The Director of Marketing will lead revenue focused, strategic planning and execution across multiple lines of business within the arena division. Responsibilities span digital and traditional marketing, external communications, creative oversight, partner integration, and high-level project management while ensuring all strategies consistently align with the Legends Global Marketing Network standards of excellence. This position operates within a collaborative dual reporting structure – reporting directly to the venue General Manager while maintaining a strategic connection upward through the Legends Global Marketing Network. Responsibilities may shift dynamically through technology and AI integrations. **ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*****Touring Event Marketing**** Regularly review ticket sales metrics and apply marketing tactics to drive awareness and sales as needed.* Collaborate with promoters to lead venue marketing support, planning and timeline management for all touring events.* Initiate and execute digital marketing efforts for large-scale campaigns, driving ticket sales, and maximizing event awareness.* Serve as a cross-functional connector with venue stakeholders (general manager, booking, box office), Legends Global Home Office, client administrator, tenants, etc.***Lines of Business & Revenue Generation**** Collaborate with venue sales team and Legends Global Home Office to develop and implement premium seating and private event specific revenue-generating marketing campaigns.* Utilize data and CRM platforms to build targeted marketing campaigns that increase ticket conversions and repeat guest visitation.* Manage in-venue digital and static assets to maximize ancillary revenues.***Paid /******Traditional Media**** Own strategy and execution of paid media across all channels.* Understand, review, and measure all campaigns against revenue-focused KPIs.* Work directly with media partners for value-add opportunities and execution support.* Own the indirect marketing budget ensuring appropriate resources are allocated to drive revenue opportunities.***Social & Digital Marketing**** Oversee venue calendar and content posting cadence.* Develop strategy and lead team execution, including competitive analysis, data reporting, and platform updates.* Oversee social listening and metrics evaluation in Sprout Social.* Maintain and optimize all owned digital assets (website, socials) to ensure a frictionless path to purchase.***Media Relations & Creative Oversight**** Directs the public relations image of the facility.* Establishes and maintains relationships with media, industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.* Acts as facility spokesperson and liaison with the general public.* Assign or create all creative content and designate workload by bandwidth and revenue-focus for all above items.**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.**QUALIFICATIONS**It is expected that Legends Global leaders fulfill each essential duty with creative energy and focused optimism, bringing an eagerness to embrace rapidly advancing marketing technology and AI to raise the bar for the venue. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE*** Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in marketing or related field* 8-10 years of marketing experience* 3-5 years of supervisory experience* Previous experience in entertainment and/or venue marketing preferred**SKILLS AND ABILITIES*** Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communication with C-level clients* Professional verbal and written communication skills* Candidates should possess excellent time management, strong work ethic, and organizational skills* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPoint* Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.**COMPENSATION**Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $105,000 plus bonus potential, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.**WORKING CONDITIONS****Location: On Site, Save Mart Center at Fresno State, Fresno, California****PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
