Responsibilities / Duties:
Machinist’s performing machining work at manufacturing facility shall be proficient in operation of lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, broaching, etc. The machinist is required to have skills in performing the full range of machining operations on most types of conventional (manual) or CNC machines tools. Machinist shall have the ability to work in various metals and other materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, high carbon and alloy steels, and plastics. Machinist is required to have skills to plan work from blueprints this includes skills in manufacturing of an entire item, carrying out all machining operations necessary for completion and skills to check work using precision instruments such as vernier calipers, height gauges, squares, depth micrometers, surface gauges, v-blocks, dial indicators, comparators, go-no go threads, plug gauges and more. Machinist should be capable of dimensional inspection of machined parts. Welding experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
Ability to work in a team environment is a must.
Desire to learn and complete a wide variety of differing job functions.
Machine Shop or manufacturing experience is necessary.
