Warehouse Manager

Warehouse ManagerUpdike Distribution Logistics is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operation, including customer service, labor scheduling, supervision, and proper utilization of space, equipment, and manpower. The Warehouse Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the warehouse in the areas of staffing, warehouse operations/execution, maintenance of the facility and equipment, implementation of safety, security, housekeeping, budgeting, and inventory control. Continually focuses on the improvement of processes to make certain customer needs are being met for high quality, cost effective logistics services.E-Commerce Fulfillment experience required.Ensure the operation exceeds customer expectations for service and responsivenessManage, motivate and develop direct reports according to company policies and employment lawsManage costs, overheads and all factors affecting the profitability performance of the warehouseMaintain customer inventories to always ensure 100% accuracyManage and maintain adherence to customer standard operating procedures and organizational guidelines to allow the accurate, timely, and safe handling of goodsManage the periodic maintenance of all equipment, fixtures, and fabric on warehouse premisesDevelop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the warehouseDirect personnel to act in accordance with corporate mission and corporate goalsDevelop space utilization plans to meet cost and service standardsAttend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policymaking as requiredLiaise with and utilize support from suppliers, merchandisers and other partners as requiredLiaise with external agencies and authorities as necessary (fire services, police, health, and safety inspectors, etc.)Communicate space availability to the director of operations and/or senior managementDevelop and maintain a productive work team through training and professional developmentThorough understanding of a P&L statementOnboard and offboard employees, continually lead, engage, train, coach, and/or counsel a staff of approximately 20-30 team membersEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
