Job Details Job Location: East McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85008 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: Day Shift Job Category: Behavioral Health/Social Work Position Overview Terros Health is hiring a LADDER Peer Support Specialist at the McDowell Rd Health Center in Phoenix, AZ. The role is full‑time with flexible scheduling and includes comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities Welcome and orient clients to Terros Health Integrated clinic and the LADDER program. Establish therapeutic relationships with patients for mentoring and role modeling to help reach treatment goals. Plan and provide transportation for clients enrolled in the LADDER Program. Plan and facilitate activities and groups, including community meetings, lunch activities, and peer‑led symptom management and recovery groups. Document services provided in accordance with agency guidelines and best practices. Participate in department and company morning meetings, staff meetings and training sessions. Engage in community outreach and connect clients with other organizations and service providers. Encourage involvement of clients’ natural support networks to promote positive communication. Develop and maintain positive relationships with healthcare partners for patient coordination. Serve as a role model for recovery, sharing lived experience and using strength‑based engagement strategies. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in a behavioral health setting. Minimum one year of self‑identified and lived experience with substance use. Arizona State Peer Certification preferred; must obtain within 90 days if not certified. CPR/First Aid certification required within 60 days of employment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, non‑judgmental approach, effective listening. Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook; electronic medical record experience preferred (NextGen). Pass Arizona Department of Child Safety Direct Service Central Registry Clearance. Valid Arizona driver’s license, 21 years of age, minimum 3 years driving experience; meet Terros Health driving policy. Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of hiring. Pass TB test.
