Financial Controller

Core Responsibilities Prepare and distribute weekly P&L reporting Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts Produce monthly financial statements by the agreed close date Reconcile monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash accounts Analyze variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods Develop rolling forecasts and annual operating budgets Create monthly executive financial reporting package Cash Management Manage weekly cash flow forecasting Coordinate and execute vendor payments Optimize payment timing and working capital Monitor credit facilities, LOCs, and banking relationships Identify potential cash shortages before they occur Accounts Receivable Own AR aging and collections process Manage customer invoicing and billing accuracy Follow up on overdue accounts Monitor lien rights and construction payment compliance Report weekly on outstanding receivables Reduce DSO (days sales outstanding) Accounts Payable Manage AP workflow and approval process Ensure subcontractor and vendor payments are accurate and timely Monitor vendor terms and negotiate where appropriate Track retention obligations Construction & Project Accounting Own Financial Performance of Every Project Maintain project cost tracking in Procore and internal systems Monitor labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs Reconcile project financials weekly Track committed costs vs actual costs Produce WIP (Work In Progress) reporting Monitor gross margin by project Identify cost overruns early Report profitability by project manager, project, and customer Forecasting Forecast final project profitability Monitor backlog and future revenue Track contract values, change orders, and pending change orders KPI & Operational Reporting Develop and maintain dashboards tracking: Revenue Gross profit % Net profit %
