Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 4 Weekend Shifts Per Month Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients in a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including circulating in the OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management using the JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration
• Support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities in alignment with individual patient preferences
• Document accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
• Float to mother/baby or outside department to task as needed per unit float policy
• Uphold patient experience standards and contribute to a collaborative laborist team model alongside 24/7 in-house midwives, dedicated CRNA, and on-call OBGYN

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP certification
• Fetal monitoring certification
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Spinning Babies training or familiarity
• STABLE program certification or experience
• Experience with couplet care and breastfeeding support, including donor milk protocols
