Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The LPN performs nursing functions within the household, including passing medications. Observes residents' conditions and communicates them to the registered nurse or the physician as needed. Works closely with the RN to ensure regulatory compliance. Nurtures a person-centered and resident-directed culture. Strengthens the ability of the household to grow as a separate effective home. Promotes individual and team learning in the household. Acts as a teacher and role model of professional nursing practices to household staff. Advocates for quality clinical care for residents. Provides each resident with routine daily nursing care and other desired services. Implements care in accordance with assessments, choices, and plans of care.
