Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE for assigned tasks.
• Ensure all personnel on-site comply with safety requirements.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Project Manager or Operations Supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance on water, sewer, stormwater, and street infrastructure systems.
• Clean sanitary and storm sewer lines, manholes, and drop inlets.
• Read utility meters and perform lift station inspections.
• Collect chlorine samples and conduct sewer smoke testing.
• Flush fire hydrants and operate valves as required.
• Perform scraping, painting, digging, and general maintenance activities.
• Repair damaged infrastructure, including water, sewer, and storm lines.
• Repair leaks, manholes, drop inlets, pavement, signs, and other infrastructure components.
• Respond to emergency situations such as weather-related events, utility failures, and client requests.
• Communicate completed activities to project leadership for reporting purposes.
• Empty and clean portable toilets, trash cans, and maintain clean work areas.
• Deliver project-related equipment, chairs, signs, and materials as needed.
• Ensure compliance with MISS Utility regulations and dig ticket procedures.
• Coordinate work activities with clients and project stakeholders.
• Support other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
