Job Overview A law firm seeks a Compensation and Benefits Senior Attorney to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising on tax-qualified retirement plans and health and welfare plans, including ERISA compliance and related regulatory matters. Duties Advise on tax-qualified retirement plans and health and welfare plans. Ensure ERISA compliance and manage plan design and administration. Counsel on benefit plan issues in mergers and acquisitions. Draft plan documents and disclosures. Conduct compliance testing and manage IRS and Department of Labor filings. Handle audits and correction matters. Requirements Minimum of 6 years of relevant legal experience. Experience with ESOP transactions and ERISA plan asset rules is a plus. Excellent academic credentials. Superior writing, oral communication, and analytical skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Bar admission in the state of California.
