CMM Programmer

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

The CMM Programmer is responsible for creating, editing, and running coordinate measurement machine (CMM) programs to facilitate the parts inspection process for our internal customers .

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Create intermediate/advanced CMM Programs using Zeiss Calypso
• Layout / dimensional CMM reports
• Determine conformance of products based on data received from CMM
• Use micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and various other hand tools.
• Ability to develop work instructions for CMM set-up and operation for various programs.
• Participate in the company culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Experience with quality control technologies, including coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures, including full knowledge of reading geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

• Committed to maintaining customer success through attention to detail on all inspection projects.

• Can effectively work alongside a cross-functional team to accurately collect and disseminate quality information at all levels of the organization.
• Well-organized and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.

• Metrics Driven: Continuously strives for improvement in performance.

Work Environment:

• Standing for 10-hour shifts
• Moderate physical activity, such as walking and lifting, is required on a daily basis
• Safety gear, such as approved safety glasses, is always required
• The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
• Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment
