Eligibility and Application Requirements Applicants must be third or fourth-year veterinary students at accredited domestic or international schools, pursuing a DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree. About Red Bank Veterinary Hospital Red Bank Veterinary Hospital is a well-established veterinary practice located on the Jersey shore in Monmouth County. With robust internship and residency programs, education is a core part of our hospital culture. Externship Program Overview The externship is designed for 3rd and 4th year students. Students observe cases, participate in grand rounds and department rounds, and attend in-house continuing education lectures during their stay. Externship duration can be from one to four weeks, with a maximum of two weeks per department. Housing and Accommodation Free housing is available on a horse farm four miles from the hospital. Dormitory-style living arrangements are provided, and students may share rooms. Placement is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
