Let’s change the world. During this internship, you will acquire the valuable hands-on skills and foundational experience needed to become a professional in your chosen field. This role combines knowledge and experience to extract insights from large volumes of data in various forms. Candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of advanced statistical techniques to build high performing predictive models and creativity to utilize these skills to address business objectives and client needs. Responsibilities may include: Executing/analyzing data analysis and modeling projects from design and processing of data Testing new statistical analysis methods, software and data sources for continual improvement of quantitative solutions Developing new ways for scientists to utilize data from multiple sources Developing automated capability to read unstructured data and convert it to structured content that is available for analysis and modeling Program Eligibility Requirements Must be available to work a full-time schedule. Expected continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship program / co-op Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program Must be available to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered What We Expect of You We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The passionate and driven individual we seek is exemplifies the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or older Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts Preferred Qualifications: In the process of completing the first year of a Master’s program with concentration in Information Technology, Computer Science (e.g., CS, CPE, SE), Engineering, Business, or related field 1 or more years relevant work experience Biotechnology, pharmaceutical or health care industry experience Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point Strong interpersonal, project management, analytical and quantitative skills Proficient in one of the coding languages (Python, Java, Scala, SQL) Detail oriented Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and resourcefulness Ability to operate independently, across functional lines, and with both internal and external customers Coursework in one or more of the following areas: Business Systems analysis, Lean, Agile (SCRUM) and other SDLC processes, Software Development, Database Modeling, Web Design and Development, IT Management, Management of Cloud based application, B2B Collaboration, Enterprise systems such as configuration and management of ERP, CRM systems What You Can Expect of Us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
